Ohio police officer, Alexander Grimme, 30, indicted on two charges of endangering children, felonious assault and strangulation of an infant who suffered permanent battery head trauma. He is also charged in another state, #Indiana, for "Neglect of a dependent resulting in serious injury and domestic battery to a person under 14 years old," which is the same infant. #Crime #LawEnforcement

Grimme is a former police officer for the Green Township, ( #Cincinnati West side) #Ohio #Police Department

He ONLY faces up to 22 years in prison if convicted.

That office will continue to pursue charges when someone is accused of using a #shotgun or #rifle in a violent #crime or has a #criminal record that makes it illegal to have a #firearm. Local authorities in #Washington can prosecute people for illegally possessing unregistered rifles & shotguns.

AP News · US attorney's new policy on charges for carrying rifles and shotguns in DCFederal prosecutors in the nation’s capital will no longer bring felony charges against people for possessing rifles or shotguns in the District of Columbia. That's according to new policy adopted by the leader of the nation’s largest U.S. attorney’s office. That office will continue to pursue charges when someone is accused of using a shotgun or rifle in a violent crime or has a criminal record that makes it illegal to have a firearm. U.S. Attorney Jeanine Pirro said in a statement that the change is based on guidance from the Justice Department and conforms with two Supreme Court decisions on gun rights.
